1900´s
New Balance is founded. It creates custom arch supports to correct orthopedic foot problems and relive the pain.
1930´s
The first running spike is developed, and it's worn by Dan McBride to run the Reddish Road Race in Massachusetts.
1960´s
At the beginning of the 60´s New Balance designs the first shoe to feature a rippled rubber sole, "The Trackster".
1970´s
Tom Fleming wins the 1975 New York City marathon, wearing New Balance's 320 shoes. Shoes which Runner's World awarded the first place, in 1978. By the end of the 70´s New Balance enters into the European market.
1980´s
With nearly twenty years of heritage, the 990 running series has survived the test of time to offer comfort and stability to professional runners.
2000´s
The RC1001 was the first shoe to feature the N-ergy S.C system, the latest technological innovation in the New Balance high-performance Suspension System.
